Allianz Technology is seeking an IT Engineering Manager to lead DevOps, QA, and incident management and to shape engineering culture across the organization.

You will drive automation, CI/CD, testing, and release governance while partnering with product, security, and operations leaders. The role emphasizes performance, reliability, and a culture of continuous improvement across teams.

• 5+ years in technical engineering roles, with 2+ years leading DevOps/QA.
• Experience in regulated environments (insurance, banking) is a strong plus.
• Strong background in software engineering and architecture.

About the Job

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking IT Engineering Manager to lead our DevOps, Quality Assurance, and Incident Management functions. In this role, you will drive the delivery of secure, high-quality, and resilient software solutions while shaping the engineering culture across the organization.

You will define and execute the strategy for modern engineering practices—including DevOps, continuous integration and deployment, automated testing, site reliability, and release governance—ensuring seamless collaboration across development, architecture, security, and operations. You will also own the end-to-end incident lifecycle, guaranteeing rapid response and continuous improvement.

What you do

Lead, mentor, and grow a cross-functional team spanning DevOps, QA, and incident management, while defining the engineering vision, standards, and roadmaps for automation, reliability, and quality.

Partner with product, architecture, security, and operations leaders to align technology with business strategy, and define and evolve DevOps practices, tooling, and governance across the organization.

Drive the design and implementation of scalable CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and "security by design," ensuring a consistent, enterprise-wide DevOps framework with metrics-driven improvement.

Establish and govern QA strategies, including test automation, performance testing, and quality gates, embedding testing practices into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous validation and release quality.

Own the full incident lifecycle, including detection, response, communications, root cause analysis, and preventive actions, while ensuring robust monitoring, alerting, observability, and operational playbooks.

Drive continuous improvements in system stability, recovery processes, and incident recurrence reduction, while overseeing release cycles to ensure compliance, traceability, and production-readiness.

Collaborate with development teams to improve release predictability, quality, and risk management, while championing a culture of quality and reliability across engineering teams.

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in technical engineering roles, including 2+ years leading DevOps, QA. Experience in regulated environments (insurance, banking) is a strong plus.
• Strong background in software engineering, architecture.
• Deep knowledge of DevOps principles, CI/CD toolchains, automation frameworks, and agile delivery models.
• Proven experience with QA methodologies, automated testing, quality metrics, and performance optimization.
• Solid expertise in incident management, including response coordination and root‑cause analysis.
• Strong communication skills, leadership presence and ability to drive cross‑functional alignment; strategic thinker with a hands‑on mindset, passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
