Job summary

Tether.io is seeking a Head of Global Events & Travel to lead the strategy, governance, and execution of our worldwide events and corporate travel. The role oversees flagship VIP events, internal meetings, travel operations, and financial governance, with executive-level accountability across regions.

In this senior position, you will drive budgets, supplier negotiations, duty of care, and policy upgrades while collaborating with C-suite, finance, marketing, and legal teams to deliver

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading corporate events and managed travel programs.
• 3+ years leading a global function in a fast-growing, international environment.
• Proven track record running client-facing events (user conferences, summits, roadshows).

Responsibilities

• Function Leadership: Lead and develop the team, recruit roles, set cadence, and build capabilities.
• Flagship and client-facing events: manage budgets, brand standards, venue selection, production, and attendee experience.
• Internal Meetings & Offsites: standardize playbooks for routine meetings and regional offsites.
• Travel Operating Model Transition: implement global travel model, RFPs, contracts with TMCs, and policy framework.
• Corporate Travel Oversight: oversee travel strategy, master agreements, and executive support through TMCs.
• Budget Accountability: own consolidated budgets, revenue/cost recovery, ROI, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Policy & Risk Management: traveler assistance, emergency response, GDPR compliance, and data privacy.
