SAMY is seeking a Global ESG Director to embed ESG across our operations and position SAMY as a leading responsible business in marketing and communications. You will work with the Chief People Officer and executives to translate commitments into measurable impact across people, operations and communities.

You will own ESG governance, reporting and cross‑functional programmes, run materiality assessments, develop decarbonisation roadmaps, and strengthen our employer and client propositions

Formación

• 7+ years' experience in ESG, Sustainability or Responsible Business, ideally in consulting or fast-paced scale-ups.
• Strong knowledge of ESG governance, reporting, regulatory frameworks, ratings and audits.
• Experience leading employee engagement and culture initiatives.
• Strong stakeholder and project management skills.
• Data-driven with ability to analyse ESG and People metrics.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Fluent English required; Spanish is a plus.
• Willingness to travel internationally (1–2 weeks every 2–3 months).

Responsabilidades

• Drive the execution and evolution of SAMY's global ESG strategy across the organisation.
• Own employee engagement and culture initiatives, embedding SAMY's values.
• Partner with executives to strengthen engagement, wellbeing, productivity and retention; support acquisitions integration.
• Lead global ESG programmes including OWN IT, Mentoring, Parenthood at SAMY, volunteering and ESG Ambassador Network.
• Own ESG governance, reporting, and compliance; coordinate data, audits and disclosures for stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional ESG initiatives across People, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Operations; monitor ESG KPIs.
• Manage relationships with ESG rating agencies and frameworks; coordinate materiality assessments and due diligence.
• Develop and maintain ESG policies covering sustainability, climate, human rights, ethics and responsible business.
• Partner with People, Talent, Marketing to strengthen Employer Value Proposition and ESG storytelling.
• Represent SAMY in ESG forums and industry initiatives to boost reputation and influence.

Role Mission

The Global ESG Director will be responsible for embedding ESG across SAMY's global operations and positioning the company as a leading responsible business within the marketing and communications industry. Working closely with the Chief People Officer, Executive Team and key business leaders, this role will ensure that ESG moves beyond compliance to become a competitive advantage, strengthening our employer value proposition, client proposition and long-term value creation. The role combines strategy, execution, reporting and internal engagement, ensuring that our commitments translate into measurable impact across our people, operations and communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the execution and continuous evolution of SAMY's global ESG strategy, embedding responsible business practices and company values across the organisation.
• Act as the global owner of employee engagement and culture initiatives, ensuring SAMY's values are embedded throughout the employee lifecycle and foster a high-performing, people-first culture.
• Partner with the Chief People Officer, Executive Team, Founders and business leaders to strengthen employee engagement, wellbeing, productivity and retention, while supporting the successful integration of new acquisitions.
• Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of global employee engagement and ESG programmes, including OWN IT, Mentoring, Parenthood at SAMY, volunteering, mobility initiatives and the ESG Ambassador Network.
• Own ESG governance, policies, reporting and compliance, coordinating data collection, audits and disclosures for the Board, investors, lenders, clients and other key stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional ESG initiatives across People, Finance, Legal, Procurement and Operations, defining and monitoring ESG KPIs to drive measurable business impact.
• Manage relationships with ESG rating agencies and frameworks, conduct materiality assessments, coordinate ESG due diligence responses and support the development of decarbonisation and carbon reduction roadmaps.
• Develop and maintain corporate ESG policies covering sustainability, climate change, human rights, ethics and responsible business practices, ensuring compliance with evolving regulations and industry standards.
• Partner with the People, Talent, Marketing and Communications teams to strengthen SAMY's Employer Value Proposition and position the company as a leading responsible business through ESG storytelling, thought leadership, awards and external communications.
• Represent SAMY in ESG, sustainability and workplace culture forums, partnerships and industry initiatives, strengthening the company's reputation and influence.
