Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to define, operate, and improve the enterprise architecture governance framework across ABB’s decentralized operating model, while enabling local autonomy and innovation.

This role ensures architectural consistency, risk reduction, and alignment with enterprise strategy and enables delivery teams through governance embedded in portfolio, product, and investment lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems or Computer Science.
• 8+ years in Enterprise Architecture or related roles.
• Experience implementing EA frameworks, tools and governance in a global org.
• Familiarity with decentralized, multi-domain operating models.
• TOGAF or equivalent EA framework certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define, operate, and continuously improve the enterprise architecture governance framework, standards, and compliance mechanisms.
• Ensure architectural consistency, risk reduction, and strategic alignment across ABB’s decentralized operating model.
• Act as custodian of architectural decision making, standards, and guardrails.
• Balance enterprise coherence with domain and product team agility and embed EA practices into the operating model.
