Oyster is seeking an Employment Counsel to support its global distributed workforce. You will advise internal teams and external stakeholders on employment law across jurisdictions and help build a scalable, compliant platform for workers worldwide.

The role demands research across jurisdictions, drafting templates, policies, and processes, and collaborating with legal and product teams to deliver practical, risk‑balanced guidance. Strong AI/automation interest is a plus.

Formación

• Extensive employment law experience across jurisdictions.
• Ability to translate complex issues into practical guidance for non-lawyers.
• Strong analytical, communication, and research skills.
• Experience advising HR and business partners on regulatory compliance.

Responsabilidades

• Own and maintain employment templates, policies, and processes across jurisdictions.
• Monitor global legislative developments and implement required changes.
• Collaborate with Product and People teams to design compliant solutions.
• Advise on employment law matters across the employee lifecycle.
• Support initiatives like Direct Expansion and expansion of new employment products.
• Translate legal analysis into clear, actionable guidance for stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain employment guides and compliance documentation.
• Support inspections, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Identify risks and improve compliance workflows using data and AI.
