Job summary

World Central Kitchen seeks a Community Outreach Manager to lead frontline operations, rapidly build and manage field teams, and ensure food aid reaches disaster-affected communities. This nine-to-twelve-month parental leave coverage role is remote across Europe and/or Asia, with a strong preference for candidates based in Spain and the right to work in listed locations.

Start date is December 1, 2026. The position is a temporary full-time contract, requiring effective leadership, collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years in management roles in fast-paced environments.
• Fluency in English required; additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese) desirable.
• Experience leading large teams in crisis or humanitarian settings.
• Ability to work independently in austere environments and travel frequently.

Responsibilities

• Respond to disaster areas within four hours to manage ground operations.
• Lead field teams and ensure effective on-ground relief activities.
• Design adaptable response strategies for high-stress environments.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage community outreach teams and locals.
• Provide regular updates to the Response Director.
• Collaborate with other departments to support activations.
• Complete After-Action Report after wind-down.
• Budgeting and logistics: share cost projections and coordinate procurement.
