Omya Business Services SLU, located in Catalonia, Spain, seeks an experienced accounting professional to manage monthly closings, general ledger entries, intercompany accounting, and VAT reporting. The role requires strong analytical skills, English proficiency, and SAP knowledge.

Formación

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical skills and understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience in intercompany reconciliation.
• Good level of English.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, especially SAP.
• Organizational and time management skills, good communication, and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and collaboration of monthly closing tasks, leading the activities concerning the closing.
• Responsible for the general ledger accounts and its journal entries, including accruals, provisions, and prepayments, balance sheet reclassifications and revaluations, VAT offset, P&L / Balance Sheet review prior to the production of the monthly financial accounts.
• Intercompany accounting.
• Asset accounting (depreciations) and lease accounting.
• Prepare and maintain supporting documentation concerning Balance Sheet reconciliations.
• Cash reporting and supervise cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor and resolve issues detected in quality controls (e.g. VAT code, currency, legal entity).
• Preparation of VAT Reporting schedules for approval.
• Monitor payment runs and bank payment approvals.
