General Manager – Marbella Old Town Luxury Collection

Lead one of Marbella's most distinctive luxury hotel collections.

1912 Hotels is seeking an exceptional hospitality leader to oversee the Marbella Old Town Luxury Collection – three boutique hotels located throughout the heart of Marbella's historic Old Town.

Together, the collection comprises 37 individually designed guestrooms, destination restaurants, rooftop venues and outdoor terraces, all set within beautifully restored historic buildings that combine authentic Andalusian architecture with contemporary luxury hospitality.

The hotels will operate as the inaugural properties of 1912 Collection, the new luxury boutique brand by 1912 Hotels.

Rather than creating standardised hotels, 1912 Collection celebrates the unique history, character and identity of exceptional independent properties while delivering thoughtful design, highly personalised service and authentic local experiences.

As General Manager, you will lead the collection through its next chapter, working directly with the founders of 1912 Hotels to establish operational excellence, recruit and inspire outstanding teams, drive commercial performance and position the collection among Southern Europe's leading boutique hospitality destinations.

We welcome applications from experienced General Managers as well as ambitious Hotel Managers, Directors of Operations, Executive Assistant Managers, Front Office Managers and Food & Beverage Managers from a luxury hospitality background who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across all three hotels while preserving the individual identity and character of each property.
• Build, mentor and inspire a high-performing management team and foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, accountability and genuine hospitality.
• Recruit, develop and retain exceptional talent while creating an environment where colleagues are empowered to succeed.
• Deliver consistently outstanding guest experiences through personalised service and operational excellence across every department.
• Take full responsibility for budgeting, forecasting, revenue optimisation, cost control, profitability and long-term asset performance.
• Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales & Marketing and Commercial teams to maximise occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and overall commercial success.
• Partner with our Food & Beverage operators to develop destination restaurants, rooftop venues and lifestyle concepts that strengthen the collection's positioning.
• Collaborate closely with ownership, investors and the corporate team, providing transparent reporting and delivering strategic objectives.
• Support the continued development of 1912 Collection by helping define operational standards and guest experience concepts for future hotels.
• Represent the collection within Marbella while building lasting relationships with guests, partners, tourism organisations and the local community.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, financial, health and safety and quality standards while continuously identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

About You

You are an experienced hospitality leader with a genuine passion for luxury boutique hotels and highly personalised guest experiences.

You combine strong commercial awareness with an approachable leadership style and understand that exceptional hotels are built by exceptional people.

Whether you are already leading a hotel as General Manager or are currently a Hotel Manager, Director of Operations, Executive Assistant Manager, Front Office Manager or Food & Beverage Manager ready for your first General Manager appointment, you have consistently demonstrated the ability to lead teams, improve performance and inspire those around you.

• Several years of leadership experience within luxury, lifestyle or boutique hospitality.
• Experience with hotel openings, repositionings or operational transformations is highly desirable.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience managing budgets and performance.
• A hands‑on leadership style with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A passion for boutique hotels, food and beverage and experience‑led hospitality.
• Fluency in English is essential; Spanish is highly desirable. Additional languages are an advantage.
