OLX is building a GenAI platform in Spain and seeks a mid-level Backend Engineer to help design, develop, and scale cloud-native services using Python/JVM languages in a microservices environment. The team operates on Kubernetes in AWS, with CI/CD pipelines managed through GitLab.

You will contribute to strategic projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions and continue advancing OLX’s GenAI capabilities.

Formación

• Significant professional experience in software development with Python (preferred), Java/Kotlin or Golang.
• Experience building and scaling large-scale web applications with an economic mindset.
• Strong experience architecting and building Cloud Native solutions (AWS is a plus).
• Exposure to AI/ML systems or GenAI tools/APIs.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects with timely delivery and quality.
• Contribute to complex technical projects ensuring robust, secure, scalable solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, delegating tasks and facilitating team communication.
• Drive innovation by shaping software development and collaborating with product management.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions using GitLab CI/CD to AWS, contributing to engineering strategy.
• Contribute to cross-team collaboration through community guilds and inter-team initiatives.
