Plug and Play Tech Center is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Operations Manager to manage the financial back-office for our US venture funds. You will oversee day-to-day back-office operations, ensure capital calls, distributions, and valuations run smoothly, and maintain tight oversight of third-party accounting and reporting deliverables.

The role includes coordinating capital activity, reviewing NAV and financial statements, and coordinating audits and tax filings with external partners.

Formación

• 3–6 years in venture capital/private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or Big 4 financial services audit.
• US market knowledge of LP/GP models, capital calls, waterfalls, and K-1 tax workflows.
• Business fluency in English (oral and written) as primary communications are with US vendors and management.
• High proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and fund administration software.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and ability to work remotely and independently.

Responsabilidades

• Vendor relationship & ops liaison with the third-party US fund administrator.
• Coordinate capital calls, LP drawdowns, and distributions between internal deal teams, LPs, bank partners, and the fund administrator.
• Review quarterly/annual financial statements, NAV calculations, schedule of investments, and capital account statements.
• Facilitate annual audits and Tax (K-1) preparation by serving as the central clearinghouse for docs between external auditors, tax advisors, and the fund administrator.
• Assist deal teams with tracking cash movements for initial/follow-on investments, portfolio company valuations, and reconciling cap table data against financial records.
• Monitor US fund bank balances, review wire instructions for startup investments, and track management fee calculations.
• Learn the fundamentals of corporate governance and venture capital.
• Conduct investor-side legal due diligence.
• Develop a deep understanding of venture deals: SAFEs, convertible notes, cap tables, and preferred stock financings.
• Work alongside experienced members of our legal team, who will provide guidance and mentorship.
• As your knowledge and experience increases, you will take ownership of new and different initiatives that align with your interests.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

Plug and Play is seeking a detail-oriented Fund Operations Manager to manage the financial back-office for our U.S. venture capital funds. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day back-office financial operations, ensure seamless execution of fund workflows (capital calls, distributions, and valuations), and maintain rigorous oversight over third-party accounting and reporting deliverables for our US venture funds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vendor Relationship & Ops Liaison: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for our third-party US fund administrator, holding them accountable to SLAs, accuracy, and reporting deadlines.


• Capital Activity Oversight: Coordinate capital calls, LP drawdowns, and distribution processes between internal deal teams, LPs, bank partners, and the fund administrator.


• Financial Reporting & NAV: Review quarterly/annual financial statements, NAV calculations, schedule of investments, and capital account statements prepared by the fund admin.


• Audit & Tax Coordination: Facilitate annual audits and Tax (K-1) preparation by serving as the central clearinghouse for docs between external auditors, tax advisors, and the fund administrator.


• Capitalization & Transaction Support: Assist deal teams with tracking cash movements for initial/follow-on investments, portfolio company valuations, and reconciling cap table data against financial records.


• Cash & Treasury Oversight: Monitor US fund bank balances, review wire instructions for startup investments, and track management fee calculations.


• Learn the fundamentals of corporate governance and venture capital.


• Conduct investor-side legal due diligence.


• Develop a deep understanding of venture deals: SAFEs, convertible notes, cap tables, and preferred stock financings.


• Work alongside experienced members of our legal team, who will provide guidance and mentorship.


• As your knowledge and experience increases, you will take ownership of new and different initiatives that align with your interests.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• Experience: 3–6 years in venture capital/private equity fund accounting, fund administration, or Big 4 financial services audit.


• US Market Knowledge: Familiarity with US VC fund structures (LP/GP models, capital calls, waterfalls, K-1 tax workflows).


• Languages: Business fluency in English is required (verbal and written) as primary communications are with US vendors and management.


• Skills: High proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and fund administration software.


• Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication abilities, comfort with remote management, and the ability to operate independently.
