SOFICO, based in Madrid, is seeking a Functional Tester to ensure reliable, well-tested business applications throughout client implementations. The role requires hands-on testing across multiple project streams, API validation with Postman, and strong collaboration with consultants and customers.

From our Madrid office, the candidate will join an international, hybrid team with a focus on quality, ownership, and continuous growth.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in functional testing of software solutions.
• Structured testing approaches, testing techniques, and methodologies.
• Experience with functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on API testing using Postman.
• Knowledge of databases and ability to work with SQL queries.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.
• Excellent communication and ability to collaborate in a hybrid, international environment.
• Proactive attitude and ownership mindset.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsabilidades

• Define test scenarios and test cases by analyzing business requirements, specifications, and user processes.
• Execute functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across projects and releases.
• Support validation activities (SIT, KUVT, UAT).
• Test configuration, data migration, interfaces, documents, and core functionalities.
• Validate APIs and integrations using Postman.
• Prepare and maintain test environments and data.
• Document test results, defects, and findings; collaborate with consultants, developers, and customers.
• Support post-go-live testing and validate issues.

What you'll do...

• Define test scenarios and test cases by analyzing business requirements, specifications, and user processes.
• Execute functional, integration, and end-to-end testing across implementation projects and software releases.
• Support customer validation activities, including System Integration Testing (SIT), Key User Validation Testing (KUVT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Perform testing across different project streams, including configuration, data migration, interfaces, documents, and core functionalities.
• Validate APIs and integrations using tools such as Postman.
• Prepare and maintain test environments, test data, and supporting configurations.
• Document test results, defects, and findings while collaborating closely with consultants, developers, and customers.
• Support post-go-live testing activities and validate solutions for reported issues and defects.

What you bring...

• At least 3 years of experience in functional testing of software solutions.
• Strong knowledge of structured testing, testing techniques, and testing methodologies.
• Experience with functional, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Knowledge of databases and ability to work with SQL queries.
• Strong analytical skills with great attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in an international and hybrid environment.
• A proactive attitude and strong sense of ownership.
• Fluent communication skills in English.

Earn bonus points for...

• ISTQB certification (or equivalent testing certification).
• Experience with software implementation projects or enterprise business applications.
• Knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to test automation frameworks and automation testing practices.
• Experience working directly with customers during testing and validation phases.
• Knowledge of leasing, fleet management, ERP, or mobility solutions.
• Knowledge of additional languages besides English.
