Accessiway is looking for a Fullstack Developer to join our hybrid team in Barcelona, with remote options to Turin, Italy. You will craft accessible web experiences using React, TypeScript, and AWS-based backends, delivering scalable features for millions of users.

You’ll own frontend and backend components, collaborate with designers and product managers, write robust tests, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and continuous learning. Fluency in TS and cloud know-how are required.

• 3+ years of fullstack experience with frontend and backend.

• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge and query optimization.

Your Mission at Accessiway

Taking full ownership of your role, you will participate in the end-to-end design and delivery of high-quality services, focusing on:

• Frontend Craftsmanship: Translating mockups into polished, high-performing, and fully accessible interfaces using React, TypeScript, Hooks, TanStack Query, Tailwind CSS, and Zod, backed by reliable tests with Vitest and Playwright.
• Backend Engineering: Building and maintaining Lambda functions, ECS services, and REST APIs behind API Gateway. Managing asynchronous workflows with SNS/SQS and navigating smoothly between Aurora PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Performance & Operational Quality: Applying engineering best practices, participating in code reviews, monitoring errors via Sentry, and building robust code that holds up under heavy traffic.
• Continuous R&D: Experimenting with emerging technologies, bringing fresh innovation to the engineering team, and constantly elevating our technical stack.

What we’re looking for in you

• 3+ years of fullstack experience with a solid grasp of both frontend and backend development.
• Fluent TypeScript (client & server-side): Clean types, maintainable architecture, and zero random anys scattered around.
• AWS Expertise: Hands-on experience with core cloud services (Lambda, SQS/SNS, ECS, API Gateway, RDS/DynamoDB).
• Solid Database Foundations: Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, schema design, and query for Detail & Quality: A drive for polished UIs, optimized backend queries, and test coverage for the edge cases that actually Mindset: Proactive attitude to catch problems before they turn into fires, get things done, and take pride in what you ship.
• Work eligibility: As this is a fully remote position, we can only employ candidates in countries where we have a legal entity. For this role, that means we can consider candidates who are based in and already legally authorised to work in one of the following countries: Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Spain or Portugal. We're not able to provide visa sponsorship or relocation for this role.

Extra Bonus Points if

• You have Python in your technical arsenal.
• You are curious about cloud infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (e.g., AWS CDK in TypeScript).
• You have experience with Firebase (Authentication, Remote Config).
• You have hands-on experience with accessibility testing tools (such as Lighthouse or Axe).
