Job summary

MediaMarkt España is seeking an experienced software engineer to join the Payment & Basket Platform team in Barcelona. You will drive features across front-end and back-end stacks, design APIs, and help migrate on-premise systems to the cloud.

The role requires deep Kotlin experience, strong Java OO skills, and hands-on Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD expertise. You will work in a collaborative, fast-changing environment with global teammates.

Qualifications

• Front-end tech stack: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Kotlin: 5+ years of professional experience.
• Backend: Node.js, Express, Spring Boot.
• API design and microservices in RESTful, fault-tolerant way.
• SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Git version control and cloud platforms (prefer Google Cloud).
• CI/CD pipelines, Terraform/Helm/Flux, Kubernetes.
• Monitoring with Grafana/Prometheus/Kibana.
• Payment gateways integration (Stripe, PayPal).
• OO language experience (Java) and security best practices.
• English proficiency (written and spoken).

• Develop value-adding features for customers following Clean Code.
• Embrace DevOps and own services from requirements to operation.
• Make architectural decisions for high performance and maintainability (cloud migration).
