MediaMarktSaturn Plattform Services GmbH in Barcelona is seeking a senior backend developer to design, implement and operate scalable services for our Global Loyalty ecosystem. You will work with Kotlin, GCP, and modern DevOps practices to deliver reliable solutions that power millions of interactions across Europe.

The role emphasizes event-driven architecture, NoSQL (MongoDB), containerization with Docker/Kubernetes, and IaC with Terraform.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Backend development with Kotlin (JVM).
• Strong knowledge of server-side architecture and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• IaC with Terraform is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kotlin coroutines and Kotlin web frameworks (Ktor) is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, maintain and operate robust backend services for our Customer & Marketing environment using Kotlin.
• Utilize Terraform, Kubernetes, GitOps with Flux, and Docker to build scalable systems.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions for smooth deployments.
• Work with Google Cloud products (BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub) and MongoDB Atlas.
• Use Kotest and Testcontainers to ensure high‑quality, reliable code.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban) and participate in on-call duty.
