UST España & Latam is seeking a Senior Full Stack Java Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team in Madrid. You will own the full software lifecycle, building scalable backend services and modern frontend apps, and collaborating with architects and business stakeholders.

The role requires 7+ years in Java and 3+ years in Full Stack, with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST, Oracle SQL, React/Angular, and TypeScript. Hybrid work in Madrid is offered, with onsite and remote days.

Formación

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• 3+ years of experience in Full Stack development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Oracle SQL, React and/or Angular, TypeScript.
• Experience delivering solutions using TDD, BDD, and automated testing practices.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps principles.
• Proven experience within banking or financial services environments.
• Strong understanding of Client Pricing processes and Core Banking Systems.

What are we looking for?

Senior Full Stack Java Engineer to join a cross-functional Agile team working on strategic initiatives within the banking sector. You will participate in the complete software development lifecycle, collaborating with architects, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Location: Hybrid model in Madrid - Ventas area (3 days onsite / 2 days remote).

Own the full software delivery lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, release, and monitoring.

Collaborate closely with business and technology teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions.

Design and build scalable backend services and modern frontend applications.

Work alongside Solution Architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.

What do we need?

7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.

3+ years of experience in Full Stack development.

Strong expertise in:

• Java
• Spring Boot
• REST APIs / Service-Oriented Architecture
• Oracle SQL
• React and/or Angular
• TypeScript
• Virtual Machines
• OpenAPI
• UML

Experience delivering solutions using TDD, BDD, and automated testing practices.

Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps principles.

Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and clean code principles.

Proven experience within banking or financial services environments.

Strong understanding of Client Pricing processes and Core Banking Systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar coding assistants.
