Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to help design and deliver AI agent solutions for enterprise customers.

You will work across architecture, prompts, tool calls, and integration with customer systems, leveraging LangChain and the Agentforce platform. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in software engineering or technical delivery, a CS degree, and prior customer-facing experience.

Qualifications

3+ years in software engineering or technical delivery, with at least one production system to discuss.
Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience required (consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering).
Proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
Hands-on with LLMs and prompt engineering, able to explain failures and fixes.
Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs and integration patterns.

Responsibilities

Develop AI agents and experiences for real-world organizations with production readiness.
Design agent intelligence: prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integration with customer systems.
Own technical components end-to-end from architecture to production deployment.
Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms.
Create dashboards and KPI reporting to monitor deployment health and outcomes.
Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs enabling rapid deployment.
Collaborate with customers and partners, sharing best practices as you go.
Surface platform gaps and relay insights to engineers and product teams.
Partner with Deployment Strategist to translate challenges into ship-ready solutions.
