SD Worx is seeking a FinOps Tech Lead to steer cloud cost optimization, governance, and automation across multi-cloud environments. You will partner with engineering, finance, and product teams to drive data-driven cost transparency and scalable cloud spend management.

The role emphasizes leadership, strategic planning, and hands-on FinOps execution to deliver measurable efficiency across AWS, Azure, and other platforms. Madrid-based or flexible within Spain with hybrid work options.

Formación

• Knowledge of FinOps principles, cloud economics, and cost optimization.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tagging strategies.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation tools.
• Excellent financial analysis, forecasting, and business case development skills.
• Leadership experience in cross-functional teams and stakeholder management.

Key Result Areas FinOps Strategy & Architecture – Define and lead the roadmap for cloud cost optimization and financial governance. Cost Visibility & Accountability – Implement tagging strategies, dashboards, and reporting for real-time cost insights. Key Accountabilities Lead cloud financial management practices across AWS, Azure, and other platforms. Define cost optimization strategies, including pricing models and resource allocation. Implement real-time monitoring and anomaly detection for cloud spend. Drive automation initiatives for cost reporting and forecasting. Collaborate with DevOps teams and other stakeholders to align reliability and cost efficiency. Mentor team members and lead knowledge-sharing sessions on FinOps best practices. What do you have to offer? Knowledge & Skills Strong expertise in FinOps principles, cloud economics, and cost optimization. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and tagging strategies. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and automation tools. Excellent financial analysis, forecasting, and business case development skills. Leadership experience in cross-functional teams and stakeholder management. Expectations Degree in IT, Finance, or related field. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to balance technical depth with financial governance.
