DFDS in Barcelona is seeking a hands-on Finance Manager to strengthen our finance team and drive excellence in financial operations and reporting. You will lead accounting processes, ensure tax compliance, and mentor a growing team in an international environment.

As Finance Manager, you’ll report to the Finance Director and partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen controls, support ERP initiatives, and deliver robust financial statements and year-end reporting for DFDS Spain.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Economics, Business or Accounting.
• 5–7 years accounting experience (AP/AR/Treasury).
• At least 2 years in a team leadership role.
• Solid knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
• IFRS knowledge is a plus.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 ERP is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Spanish; French a plus.
• Experience in an international organization highly valued.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure accuracy of accounting records (Balance Sheet, P&L, accruals).
• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end closings.
• Perform financial analysis and ensure data integrity.
• Prepare and present financial statements and annual accounts.
• Own tax compliance (VAT, Corporate Tax, forms 111, 115).
• Liaise with HQ Finance, auditors, and external stakeholders.
• Oversee credit control and cash flow management.
• Support ERP implementation and finance transformation projects.
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Manage and develop the accounting team.

About The Role

As Finance Manager, you will report directly to the Finance Director of DFDS Spain and play a key role in ensuring high-quality financial operations and reporting, tax compliance, and team leadership.

You’ll act as a trusted partner across the business, ensuring our accounting processes are robust, compliant, and continuously improving.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Ensure accuracy of accounting records (Balance Sheet, P&L, accruals, etc.)
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
• Perform financial analysis and ensure data integrity

• Take full ownership of tax compliance (VAT, Corporate Tax, Forms 111, 115, etc.)
• Liaise with HQ Finance, auditors, and external stakeholders
• Oversee credit control and cash flow management
• Lead or support ERP implementation and finance transformation projects
• Strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures
• Manage and develop the accounting team

Who We’re Looking For

Your Background

• Degree in Economics, Business Administration, or Accounting
• Minimum 5-7 years of accounting experience (AP / AR / Treasury)
• At least 2 years in a team leadership role
• Solid knowledge of tax regulations and compliance
• Knowledge of IFRS is a plus
• Experience in Dynamics 365 ERP will be a plus
• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Second Language as French will be a plus
• Experience in an international organization is highly valued
