Job summary

InterContinental 62s Group plc in Spain offers a hands-on finance internship within our hospitality group. You will support the finance team with daily reconciliations and journal entries, gaining practical experience in accounting processes at a busy hotel.

The program seeks students studying hospitality or finance, preferably able to commit six months under an approved school agreement. Fluency in English or Spanish is required, and you will work in a dynamic, team-oriented setting with meals

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree in hospitality, finance, or a related field.
• Possibility to sign an agreement with your school for 6 months.
• Previous hotel knowledge and experience in operational departments is valuable.
• Fluent in English or Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Assist in reconciling PMS daily city ledger, guest ledger and advance deposit ledger with month-end closing balances.
• Assist in preparing daily revenue journal and classify revenues to correct general ledger codes.
• Update cashier contracts list and prepare month-end cash account reconciliations.
• Verify credit card billing against the daily business report and prepare credit card and bank conciliation sheets.

Your day-to-day

• Support in verifying that the PMS daily city ledger, guest ledger and advance deposit ledger balances reconcile to the sum of previous month closing balance and the PMS system net changes for the current month to date.
• Support preparing daily revenue journal, ensuring that revenues have been classified to the correct general ledger code.
• To update cashier contracts list and prepare reconciliation at month end for cash accounts.
• Verify all credit cards billing against the daily business report and prepare credit card and bank conciliation sheets.
