Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a Field Service Representative EF to work on-site at the customer facilities, including GANDO AIR BASE, Gran Canaria.

You will act as the primary customer focal point and deliver technical support for maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of relevant field service experience.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Proactive, adaptable and client-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point for the customer and provide technical assistance.
• Advise customer personnel on troubleshooting, maintenance and procedures.
• Carry out field missions and replacement of failed units on-site.
• Manage maintenance/repairs and implement upgrades as needed.
• Provide on-the-job training and produce reports on repairs.

Job Description:

An opportunity for a Field Service Representative EF has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space. The work must be carried out at the customer's facilities at GANDO AIR BASE, located on the island of Gran Canaria. The department is in charge of guaranteeing permanent on-site technical support and representation at the customer's facilities, in order to ensure safe and effective operations under the most economical and beneficial conditions for the customer. Input data: Platform availability, recovery periods, maintenance plan, equipment manuals, overhaul plan. Output data: Component repair and troubleshooting, technical advice to the customer on maintenance and technical publications.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Act as the focal point for the customer.
• Provide the customer with technical assistance regarding the maintenance of reliable and cost-effective operations.
• Advise the customer's technical personnel on troubleshooting, repair and maintenance tasks, procedures for maintenance programs and ground support equipment, and the implementation of modifications.
• Carry out field missions according to customer needs.
• Replace failed units on-site.
• Manage maintenance and/or repairs.
• Implement upgrades.
• Provide advice to local operators for the improvement of performance and daily processes.
• Provide support for maintenance plans and equipment provided by the customer.
• Provide support for tests and tasks on EF aircraft as a certified engineer.
• Provide technical interface with customers.
• Responsible for delivering aircraft/components assigned to their domain in quality, cost, and time.
• Develop reports and procedures related to the repair of defects and failures.
• Responsible for developing new initiatives and/or procedures to improve fleet operation.
• Responsible for proposing changes to aircraft/component maintenance documentation and preparing alternatives.
• Prepare and facilitate training for other members.
• Provide on-the-job training to the customer.
• Comply with and enforce rules and procedures.
• Possibility of travel and assignments at other customer facilities (Albacete, Getafe, Seville...)

SKILLS

• Education: Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline.
• Experience: Desirable at least 1 year of experience performing the requested duties for the position.
• Soft skills: Communication and customer relations skills, client-oriented, communicative, adaptable, flexible, proactive, committed.
• Languages: English.
• Availability to travel if required.
