JBT Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across Iberia and the wider EMEA region. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing sophisticated food processing equipment to ensure peak performance and reliability.

Travel is extensive across Portugal, Spain, and the broader EMEA region. You will collaborate with engineering and technical support teams, deliver operator training, and provide clear service documentation and recommendations.

Formación

• Bachelor-level qualification or higher in mechanical, electrical or mechatronics engineering.
• Experience in field service, industrial maintenance or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Fluent in Spanish and/or Portuguese, with good English communication skills.
• Valid driving licence and passport required.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair at customer sites across Iberia and EMEA.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on advanced processing equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximise equipment uptime and efficiency.
• Provide operational, maintenance, and technical guidance to customers.
• Deliver training to operators and maintenance teams on equipment use and best practices.
• Prepare accurate service reports, technical documentation, and follow-up recommendations.
• Identify spare parts requirements and recommend upgrades or improvements.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, technical support, and project teams to ensure high‑quality service delivery.
• Support larger installation and upgrade projects across the EMEA region when required.

Are you ready to deliver hands-on technical expertise across Iberia and the EMEA region?

JBT Marel is looking for a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to support our customers across Portugal, Spain, and the wider EMEA region. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise advanced food processing equipment, ensuring maximum performance and reliability for our customers.

This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining technical problem-solving with customer interaction in a highly international environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities at customer sites across Iberia and EMEA
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on advanced processing equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to maximise equipment uptime and efficiency

About You

You are a hands-on and solution-oriented engineer who enjoys travelling, solving technical challenges, and building strong customer relationships. You thrive in dynamic environments and are comfortable working independently while remaining closely connected to a wider international team.

Experience & Education

• Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering
• Experience working in field service, industrial maintenance, or manufacturing environments
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems with electrical fault-finding capability
• Experience within food processing or automated industrial equipment is an advantage
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Fluent Spanish and/or Portuguese, with good English communication skills
• Valid driving licence and passport required
