Job summary

Barclays in Madrid is seeking a Payments & Cash Management Specialist to drive growth in our European cash management franchise. You will support Relationship Directors and shape new product developments while collaborating with product, tax, legal, finance and compliance teams.

In this origination role, you’ll provide advisory support to clients, lead complex domestic and cross-border opportunities, and help position Barclays as a market leader through high-value cash capabilities.

Qualifications

Experience in cash origination business development or sales.
Knowledge of Spanish and European corporate and financial markets.
Experience in cash management, liquidity and global payment solutions.
Experience in sales management; pipeline and stakeholder management.
Solid commerciality and understanding of deposits and money transmission.
Experience in risk, compliance and regulatory governance.
Cash sales cycle management and pipeline planning; analytical thinking.

Responsibilities

Identify potential customers, analyse their needs and tailor sales approaches.
Create target profiles for segments with demographics, financial habits and pain points.
Manage relationships with customers through high-quality support and issue resolution.
Explain features, benefits, risks, and regulatory requirements of banking products.
Develop compelling sales pitches and proposals; negotiate terms.
Collect and analyse customer feedback to inform product development and sales strategies.
Monitor lead conversion, acquisition costs and other key metrics.
