Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is expanding the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) and seeking experienced systems engineers with strong automation and operations backgrounds. You will join the AWS Managed Operations team to build, operate, and evolve high-availability services for EU customers, including EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock.

DB and ops experience, 24x7 on-call responsibility, and the ability to collaborate with global teams are essential as you help deliver scalable, reliable cloud

Qualifications

Experience in Linux OS and networking troubleshooting.
Experience in Python, Perl, or another scripting language.
Experience in Systems engineering, site reliability engineering, building and operating systems at scale.
Ability to lead creation, revision, and improvement of SOPs and drive operational best practices.

Responsibilities

Oversee ongoing operations and expansion of the ESC, collaborating with global AWS teams.
Contribute to improving day-to-day operations and service reliability across EU customers.
Engage in on-call rotations to resolve incidents outside normal hours.
Develop and test scripts to automate workflows and enhance efficiency.
Share insights on European Sovereign Cloud complexities with service teams.
