Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. is seeking an experienced development engineering leader to build and lead teams responsible for the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC).

The role focuses on development management, operations, automation and engineering efficiency to deliver high-availability AWS services for EU customers across EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda and Bedrock. You will oversee the ESC expansion during 2026/2027, collaborate with global AWS teams, and guide day-to-day operations to enhance

Formación

• Experience in systems engineering and operations leadership for an Internet service or leading-edge IT organization.
• Experience in managing system or software development teams.
• Experience in agile software development methodology.
• Experience with on-call responsibilities and coordinating escalation responses.

Responsabilidades

• Lead teams in building and operating high-availability services for EU customers.
• Drive roadmaps and strategic guidance to improve availability, latency, performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate across multiple teams to streamline processes and boost organizational effectiveness.
• Build coaching and mentoring programs to develop skilled and committed engineers.
• Manage on-call rotations and drive escalation calls when needed.
