Job summary

Making Science is seeking an Accountant with strong English to join our finance team in Madrid. The role covers financial transactions, reporting, reconciling accounts, and ensuring data accuracy for UK and US teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s in Administration and Finance, SAP experience, and proficient English. We offer an indefinite contract, a fixed salary plus a performance bonus, and flexible options including one remote day per week.

Qualifications

• You have at least a C1 English level.
• 1-2 years of professional experience as Accountant
• Bachelor’s Administration and Finance
• Advanced level of English.
• Able to manage and organize documentation, as well coordination with different departments
• SAP experience
• Capacity for methodical work and organizational skills
• Teamwork

Responsibilities

• Financial record-keeping: maintain accounts payable/receivable, GL entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Financial reporting: assist monthly, quarterly, and annual reports; analyze data for trends.
• Compliance and audits: ensure compliance with local regulations; support audits with docs.
• Budgeting and forecasting: assist budgets and forecasts; monitor performance vs projections.
• Software and systems: use SAP to enter and track transactions.
• Ad hoc tasks: tax filings, payroll support, and financial analysis; cross-team collaboration.
