Job summary

Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L.U. is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for Water Infrastructure to lead the delivery of water supply, treatment, and wastewater projects across EMEA, from concept through commissioning.

You will coordinate civil, mechanical, process, controls, and environmental disciplines to meet performance targets. Travel up to 40%, interface with general contractors, manage scope and budget, and ensure safety and quality on site while aligning with utility requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or an equivalent engineering science.
• Experience managing large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants.
• Experience with contractor and vendor management (RFPs, bids, change orders).

Responsibilities

• Construction project management and oversight of water infrastructure projects in EMEA.
• The role involves travel up to 40% of the time.
• Ownership of project scope, timeline, and budget.
• Direct interface with construction general contractors during bidding, award, execution, and closeout.
• Work with general contractors and vendors to deliver efficient and high-quality turnovers in line with electrical utility requirements.
• Lead negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals with detail and accuracy.
• Creation of construction project scope and request for proposals.
• Capital requests/financial analysis of construction work including change orders, purchase orders, and invoicing.
• Construction submittal review.
• Construction project quality assurance including support of the commissioning process.
