Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services is expanding its data center footprint. A Controls Engineer will maintain and improve BMS/EPMS, plan preventive maintenance, and lead controls improvement projects to ensure safe, reliable data center operations.

You will collaborate with operations, design teams, and vendors, reinforcing standards, commissioning new systems, and training junior staff on best practices in a fast-growing, global environment.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in vendor management.
• Experience in a data center or critical environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience in project management.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, coordinate, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on BMS and EPMS systems, adjusting work plans based on equipment conditions and risk assessments to maintain safe, reliable data center operations.
• Manage the scope, schedule, and execution of controls improvement projects, including developing the sequence of operations (SOO), modifying controls logic programming, and commissioning new systems during data center builds.
• Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical control issues across generators, switchgear, chillers, cooling towers, and related infrastructure, escalating abnormal conditions when necessary and acting as an escalation point during incidents.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, design teams, and external vendors to review maintenance outcomes, align on project deliverables, and ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards.
• Contribute to process improvements and provide hands-on training to less-experienced team members on equipment operation, BMS/EPMS configuration, and technical best practices.
