Job summary

Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. seeks a Controls Design Engineer to contribute to the Global Data Center Controls Design Engineering team. You will help define standards for EPMS/BMS, coordinate with regional managers, and ensure integration with IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working in data centers or other critical environments.
• 3+ years of experience working with electrical diagrams, single line diagrams, and electrical distribution systems.
• 3+ years of experience working with industrial controls systems.
• Experience with power monitoring and SCADA systems.
• Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 4+ years' experience (preferred).
• Experience with EPMS platforms (Foreseer, Ignition, Schneider PSO/PME) (preferred).
• Experience programming or configuring revenue-grade metering systems (ION, SEL, GE) (preferred).
• Knowledge of data center facilities infrastructure (PDU, UPS, generators) (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop and maintain global EPMS design standards and documentation.
• Review EPMS design content and electrical drawings for accuracy.
• Create EPMS scopes of work (SOW), provide RFI support, and review vendor proposals.
• Coordinate with regional project managers to finalize project SOWs.
• Review LLE submittals to ensure EPMS scope is captured.
• Attend Factory Witness Tests and EQTs to validate EPMS functionality.
• Develop and maintain controls points lists, templates, and Basis of Design docs.
• Lead collaboration with construction, programmers, and engineers to meet goals.
• Travel globally as needed to support project initiatives.
