Job summary

Axon is seeking a Corporate Counsel based in Madrid to support the EMEA sales teams with complex commercial contracts. You will structure, draft, and negotiate contracts for SaaS, hardware and services, while guiding risk analyses and policy development.

You’ll supervise contracts staff and maintain playbooks, while collaborating with Sales, IT, Product, and external teams. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in-house or external experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts.
• Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume contracts for SaaS, hardware, and services.
• Knowledge of procurement laws in EMEA, especially UK and EU.
• Must be located on the east coast.
• JD and bar membership in at least one US state or authorization in UK/EU.
• Experience with contract lifecycle tools and Generative AI, Salesforce, CLMs, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the EMEA region sales teams with potential expansion to other regions.
• Provide legal advice on transactional matters related to sale of Axon products, including SaaS, hardware and services.
• Structure, review and negotiate contracts for goods, services and SaaS.
• Supervise Contracts Managers and enforce risk levels and approvals.
• Draft and maintain contract templates, risk analyses, and policies.
• Support development and implementation of contract lifecycle management system.
• Travel up to 15%.
