Job summary

EM&E Group is seeking an Electrical, Electronics & Wiring Harness Architect to define the backbone of our defense vehicle systems. You will design databus architectures, power distribution, and integrate subsystems across rugged platforms.

You will lead schematic and harness layouts, drive EMC/EMI mitigation, and collaborate with Mechanical and Software teams to deliver reliable hardware-in-the-loop validation in mission-critical environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in electrical architecture and wiring harness design, ideally in military, defense, or specialized heavy vehicle sectors.
• Proficiency in electrical CAD and simulation tools and familiarity with EMC/EMI mitigation standards (MIL-STD-461).

Responsibilities

• Architecture Design: Define and map databus architectures (CAN, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet) and power distribution for defense platforms.
• Wiring & Harness Design: Develop schematics and harness layouts, optimize packaging for extreme environments.
• Systems Integration: Ensure interoperability between subsystems including LRUs, ruggedized racks, and processing hardware.
• Testing & Simulation: Execute HIL validation, electrical load analysis, and circuit simulations for reliability.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Mechanical and Software Engineering teams to integrate the architecture into the vehicle platform.

We are seeking a skilled Electrical, Electronics & Wiring Harness Architect to define the backbone of our defense vehicle systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Define and map databus architectures (e.g., CAN bus, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet) and power distribution systems for complex defense platforms.
• Wiring & Harness Design: Develop robust electrical schematics and wiring harness layouts, optimizing electronic packaging to withstand extreme environmental and tactical conditions.
• Systems Integration: Ensure seamless interoperability between electronic subsystems, including line-replaceable units (LRUs), ruggedized racks, thermal management/cooling systems, and processing hardware.
• Testing & Simulation: Execute hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) validation, electrical load analysis, and circuit simulations to guarantee system reliability in mission-critical environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Mechanical and Software Engineering teams to seamlessly integrate the electronic architecture into the physical vehicle platform.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation & Control Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience: Proven experience in electrical architecture and wiring harness design, ideally within military, defense, or specialized heavy vehicle sectors.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in electrical CAD and simulation tools (e.g., Mentor Graphics Capital, E3.series, MATLAB/Simulink) and familiarity with EMC/EMI mitigation standards (e.g., MIL-STD-461).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills and a proven track record in multidisciplinary team environments.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical issues under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to lead engineering work packages and coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance (QA), and Maintenance departments.
• Languages: Full professional proficiency in technical English.
