Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe/Madrid invites an Electrical System Installation Design Engineer to support a new military program. You will design and validate electrical harnesses, boxes and control units, while aligning with architecture and in-service activities.

Job Description:

An opportunity for an Electrical System Installation Design Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid) .

The selected candidate will join the Military Derivatives department inside Air Power . The team is working on an exciting, challenging, and ambitious new upcoming military Program that will help reinforce European sovereignty . The jobholder will reinforce our team to increase capacities for the launch of this thrilling new project .

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main tasks of the jobholder will be:

• Design and validate electrical harnesses, electrical boxes, and control units' installation following associated Design Principles from architecture definition to in-service activities .
• Apply relevant regulations, installation processes, methods, tools, and procedures across all project phases .
• Manage complex systems integration with a strong customer-oriented view .
• Participate actively in collaborative and concurrence processes with Industrial and Production teams .
• Collaborate closely with other Engineering Design offices (e.g., systems analysis, loads, DMU/CAD) to define design interfaces .
• Provide technical knowledge and support to various stakeholders, including quality, purchasing, supply chain, and production .

• Education: Aerospace or Industrial Engineering degree or a related discipline .
• Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Engineering, preferably with 2 years in Electrical Systems Installation .
• Soft skills: High adaptability to work on new topics in a collaborative mode, strong interpersonal and communication skills, proactive attitude, and open-mindedness .
• Languages: Full proficiency in English and advanced level in Spanish .
• Technical knowledge: Electrical Systems Installation, electrical harnesses design, DMU/CAD interfaces, and systems integration .
• Valuable / Nice to have: French language skills will be an asset . Eligibility for or holding a security clearance from recogniz ed authorities is required .
