Amazon Spain Services, S.L.U. in Madrid is seeking experienced systems engineers with a strong background in automation and operations to lead the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) initiative.

You will join the AWS Managed Operations team delivering high-availability services like EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, and Bedrock for EU customers. This role involves coordinating with global AWS teams, driving day-to-day operational improvements, and participating in on-call rotations to resolve incidents

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related IT discipline.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Experience scripting (Bash/Python/Ruby) or software development with Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud monitoring and IaC tools is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the launch of the European Sovereign Cloud (ESC) in 2025.
• Collaborate with global AWS teams to drive operational improvements.
• Improve availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of ESC.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations to resolve incidents.
