MDPI Spain is seeking an Editorial Trainee in Barcelona to learn how to process papers from submission to publication, under the guidance of Managing Editors. Upon successful completion, you will transition to an Assistant Editor role and contribute to open access publishing.

The position involves editorial work across journals in your domain, coordinating the review process and communicating with authors, reviewers, and editors to drive timely decisions.

Formación

• Academic background in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Applied Physics, Computational Science, Mathematical Finance, Statistics, Data Science or Logic.
• PhD in Science.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent English and Spanish skills in written and spoken language.
• Ability to multi-task, attention to detail.
• Experience with scholarly publishing beneficial.

Responsabilidades

• Process papers from submission to publication under supervision of Managing Editors.
• Organize the review process and oversee editorial decisions.
• Handle communication between authors, reviewers and editors involved in publication.
