Airbus Defence and Space SAU in Getafe is seeking a mechanically minded engineer to contribute to the structural dynamics analysis and testing of space structures and systems. The role focuses on verification and validation through advanced analyses and simulation.

Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and have early professional experience with aerospace structures.

Formación

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
• Prior professional experience in the design and verification of aerospace structures is highly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in static/dynamic structural analysis (FEM) and manual calculation methods.
• Proficiency in Nastran and Hyperworks; programming skills in Matlab, Python, VBA or C++ are desirable.
• Fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken) is mandatory.

Responsabilidades

• Identify and understand mechanical requirements for design verification and validation.
• Support static and dynamic structural analyses for space structures.
• Conduct mechanical performance analyses for high‑precision instruments and structures designed for space applications.
• Contribute to simulation, oversight and post‑test assessment and correlation of structures static testing and vibration testing.
• Develop mathematical structural models using FEM, focusing on application‑oriented idealization and validation with Hyperworks and NASTRAN.
• Verify joints for strength according to ESA standards.
• Assist in developing internal tools for workflow optimization and data processing.
• Write and maintain documentation of models, analyses and compliance to requirements.
