About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Lead with strong technical expertise in Drupal, Moodle, and CI / CD pipelines to support a major digital infrastructure initiative for the European Commission. This role involves leading QA processes, managing automated deployments, and improving software delivery pipelines for large-scale Drupal and Moodle web platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate all deployment-related activities for Drupal and Moodle sites.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI / CD pipelines.
- Lead the QA team and enhance automated testing procedures.
- Support developers with deployment operations and troubleshoot CI / CD issues.
- Deploy security patches and execute code deployments to production.
- Analyze performance, diagnose incidents, and apply preventive solutions.
- Contribute to the design of web infrastructure and technical architecture improvements.
- Deliver technical documentation, quality assessments, and vision documents.
- Provide expert advice on secure coding, DevOps best practices, and infrastructure planning.
- Monitor and report on KPIs related to QA service performance.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings, risk analysis, and technical audits.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree or equivalent (Level 7 EQF).
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience in:
- EC DIGIT Drupal CI / CD pipeline design and management.
- Supporting large-scale CI / CD customer portfolios.
- Implementing secure code and automated testing.
- Quality assurance for multiple Drupal projects.
Technical Skills
- Deep expertise in Drupal, PHP, JavaScript, and Composer.
- Strong command of DevOps, CI / CD, and automation tools (e.g., GitLab CI / CD).
- Experience with LAMP stack, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
- Understanding of REST / SOAP APIs, OWASP, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with EC Drupal hosting services and deployment standards.
- Software configuration management and release management.

- Relevant DevOps, security, or QA certifications will be considered an asset.
- Knowledge and application of EU Commission standards and methodologies is a plus.
