Job summary

Winch Yacht Recruitment is seeking an Experienced Deck/Dive Instructor to join a 61m+ motor yacht sailing from Spain in mid-October 2026. Solid waterman qualities and 2–3 years yacht experience are required; dive instruction with spearfishing/freediving is a plus.

You will work with a team of three deckhands under the Bosun, 2nd Officer and Chief Officer, with a 4:1 rotation and an extra month as needed. B1B2 visas, full medical cover, and probationary training expenses are provided.

Qualifications

• Solid waterman qualities.
• 2–3 years yachting experience.
• Experience on a 61m+ motor yacht (MY).
• Dive instruction experience with spearfishing and freediving is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Join a 61m+ motor yacht as deckhand/dive instructor.
• Work with the bosun, 2nd officer and chief officer on guest trips and shipboard operations.

Location: Spain TBC

Rotation: 4:1 (plus 1 extra month at a time convenient for the vessel)

Salary: $4,000 - $4,500 USD (this will depend on proven experience)

Winch Recruitment is currently looking for an Experienced Deck/Dive Instructor to join this 61m+ MY around mid October time. We are Ideally looking for a candidate with solid waterman qualities, special consideration for experience in Spearfishing but also Freediving and Scuba Diving. Those who have exploration or support yacht experience are highly regarded. You will be working with a team of 3 deckhands under the Bosun, 2nd Officer and Chief Officer. The vessel will be having a layby period in Malaga, then travel across to Puerto Rico with guest winter trips in the BVI’s and Dominican before returning for a shipyard period in Damen Holland. This is not a couple's position, so please do not apply if you are part of a couple currently looking for roles together.
