JD Logistics in Vigo is seeking an analytical Dispatcher to manage dock scheduling, driver routing, linehaul execution, and last-mile handovers across our regional facilities.

You will act as the operational bridge between warehouse dock leads, external 3PL carriers, linehaul drivers, and regional control centers, ensuring real-time vehicle flows and 100% on-time dispatch.

Formación

• Proven experience in dispatching, transport scheduling, yard management, or fleet operations within a fast-paced logistics network.
• Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), yard management tools, GPS tracking platforms, and MS Excel.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional local languages are a plus (Spanish/Italian).
• Willingness to work dynamic shifts, including nights or weekends to match dispatch windows.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate daily inbound trailer dockings, outbound dispatch schedules, linehaul movements, and last-mile handovers to ensure on-time dispatch.
• Serve as the operational bridge between warehouse dock leads, external 3PL carriers, linehaul drivers, and regional transportation control centers.
• Monitor real-time vehicle flows, optimize yard operations, and track dock utilization to prevent congestion.
• Maintain data accuracy across TMS and driver portals and respond to delays promptly.

Context of the Position

As part of our rapid international expansion across Europe, JD Logistics is scaling its transportation and last-mile distribution networks. We are seeking an analytical, high-execution Dispatcher to manage dock scheduling, driver routing, linehaul execution, and carrier cut-off compliance across our regional facilities.

The Mission & Core Scope

• The Mission: Coordinate daily inbound trailer dockings, outbound dispatch schedules, linehaul movements, and last-mile courier carrier handovers, ensuring 100% on-time dispatch and optimal yard flow.
• The Scope: You will serve as the operational control bridge between warehouse dock leads, external 3PL carriers, linehaul drivers, and regional transportation control centers, managing real-time vehicle flows and yard operations.

Crucial Expectations & Performance Targets

To provide a clear understanding of the accountability required, the successful candidate will be evaluated on the following key metrics during the initial 6 to 12 months:

• On-Time Dispatch SLA: Monitor carrier arrival and departure windows, guaranteeing that 100% of outbound linehaul and last-mile routes leave on schedule.
• Yard & Dock Utilization: Maximize trailer slot turnover and dock bay allocation, eliminating driver wait times and preventing yard congestion.
• Transport Exception Tracking: Actively track active transit lines, immediately resolving delays, driver documentation errors, or trailer capacity bottlenecks.
• System Compliance: Maintain real-time tracking accuracy across Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and driver check-in/check-out portals.

Position Requirements

• Dispatch & Transport Competence: Proven experience in dispatching, transport scheduling, yard management, or fleet operations within a fast-paced logistics, express parcel, or 3PL network.
• Systems Literacy: Hands-on experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS), yard management tools, GPS tracking platforms, and MS Excel.
• Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in English is mandatory. Fluency in local languages (Spanish or Italian) is preferred; Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus.
• Operational Flexibility: Adaptability to work dynamic shift schedules, including night shifts or weekend rotations to match dispatch windows.
