Job summary

Lever, Inc. in Spain is seeking a Director of Risk Management to lead the risk function for a Bitcoin-focused institutional arm. You will design risk policies across market, credit, liquidity, and on-chain/off-chain activities, working with senior stakeholders to protect capital and enable growth.

As a founding member, you will own risk governance, model development, and exposure controls, ensuring new products meet institutional standards in a fully remote, international setting.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Finance, Computer Science, Mathematical Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, PRM or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build global risk management framework for market, credit, liquidity, operational, and on-chain risks.
• Establish risk governance, appetite, limits, and escalation reporting to board and investment committee.
• Provide independent risk approval for new strategies and counterparties before launch.
• Develop quantitative risk models including VaR, stress testing, and scenario analysis.
• Conduct portfolio stress testing against Bitcoin and digital asset shocks.
• Evaluate complex transactions across traditional and digital assets.
• Monitor exposures daily and flag deviations with corrective action recommendations.
• Lead due diligence on counterparties and DeFi protocols including governance risks.
