Job summary

Applus+ is seeking a Digital Product Controller to join the Corporate IT Department and report to the Global CIO and Head of Digital Factory. The role aims to deliver an integrated view of portfolio health for Spain, Colombia and the Philippines by combining financial and project control with performance metrics.

Responsibilities include monitoring the Digital Factory project portfolio, consolidating budgets and forecasts, tracking costs, risks and deviations, and creating clear monthly reports

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 6–8 years of relevant experience in project controlling, portfolio controlling, PMO, technology finance, digital delivery performance, or similar roles.
• Proven experience controlling project budgets, forecasts, actuals, commitments, variances and risks in complex, multi-project environments.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to convert large, heterogeneous datasets into concise conclusions, recommendations and executive-level reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI; experience integrating information from financial, project-management and agile-delivery systems.
• Solid understanding of agile product delivery and squad metrics, including velocity, throughput, predictability, cycle time, lead time, backlog health, defects and quality trends.
• Practical knowledge of artificial intelligence and analytics automation for controlling and monitoring, including data consolidation, anomaly detection, forecasting, insight generation and recurring reporting.
• High attention to detail, data-quality discipline and ability to establish clear controls, definitions and audit trails.
• Strong communication, stakeholder-management and influencing skills, with confidence working across functions, seniority levels and cultures.
• Professional proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Own the monitoring of the Digital Factory project portfolio and other initiatives across Spain, Colombia and the Philippines.
• Consolidate budgets, forecasts, actuals, commitments and expected-at-completion figures with consistent criteria.
• Track project costs, resources, purchase orders, invoices, accruals and variances.
• Identify deviations and risks; define corrective actions with product owners and regional stakeholders.
• Prepare monthly reporting, forecasts and dashboards for governance forums.
• Support budgeting, reforecasting, business cases and portfolio prioritization with robust analysis.
• Define and maintain a consistent squad performance framework for Digital Factory squads.
• Monitor velocity, throughput, cycle time, lead time, backlog health, defects and delivery against commitments.
• Build dashboards and scorecards by squad/product/region ensuring data quality and comparability.
• Translate performance data into actionable insights and improvements without losing context.
• Partner with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Engineering Leads, Finance and regional teams to track improvements.
• Use AI-enabled analytics and automation to improve consolidation, anomaly detection, forecasting and reporting.
• Continue to improve governance, reporting standards, KPI definitions and control processes.
