Deoleo is seeking a Demand/Supply Planner to join the US Operations Team in Mexico City. You will translate S&OP/IBP plans into SKU-level and DC-level supply, manage inventory, and coordinate with plants and partners to optimize service levels and costs.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in demand or supply planning, experience with SAP and Power BI, and strong English communication. The role is on-site in Mexico City, with growth opportunities and global responsibilities.

Formación

  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory planning.
  • Experience in CPG, FMCG, food & beverage, retail, or manufacturing environments preferred.
  • Strong understanding of inventory planning fundamentals: MRP, safety stock, service levels, lead times, FEFO, shelf-life management.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; experience with S&OP/IBP processes is a plus.

Responsabilidades

  • Develop and maintain a rolling national inventory plan aligned with service targets.
  • Monitor demand variability and adjust inventory and replenishment plans.

  • Coordinate with North America, plants, copackers, and logistics partners.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Demand/Supply Planner with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to join our US Operations Team in Mexico City, Mexico.

Mission

The Demand/Supply Planner is responsible for translating approved S&OP / IBP demand plans into executable, SKU-level supply and inventory plans across the U.S. distribution network. This role ensures optimal product availability while balancing service level targets, working capital objectives, shelf-life constraints, and supply capabilities. This position directly impacts customer service, inventory health, working capital and margin through disciplined planning, supplier coordination, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Demand, Supply & Inventory Planning
  • Facilitate monthly Pre‑Consensus forecast review meetings with Regional Sales Managers and Sales Operations to align on volume assumptions, risks, and opportunities, and formally document agreed inputs for the S&OP process.
  • Translate consensus S&OP / IBP forecasts into detailed SKU- and DC-level supply plans for make-to-stock and make-to-order products.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling National Inventory Plan aligned with service targets, safety stock policies, lead times, inventory carrying cost and capacity constraints based on the guidelines by senior management.
  • Monitor demand variability, forecast accuracy, and supply constraints to proactively adjust inventory and replenishment plans.
  • Support promotions, new product introductions (NPI), transitions, and discontinuations with controlled build-up and run-down strategies.
  • Act as an operational liaison between North America and supplying plants / third-party manufacturers (copackers).
  • Create, release, confirm, modify, and cancel production and purchase requisitions in SAP in coordination with International Customer Service and Supplying plants.
  • Track and manage in-transit inventory, identify delays or disruptions, and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and logistics partners.
  • Participate in routine supplier reviews covering service performance, lead times, capacity, and inventory risks.
Network & Logistics Optimization
  • Plan and execute inter-DC (P2P) transfers to rebalance inventory in response to demand shifts, supply constraints, or lead-time variability with prior approval from management.
  • Partner with Logistics to optimize P2P Transfers in terms of utilization and transportation costs.
  • Mitigation of supply risk by coordinating inbound diversions and short-term supply adjustments with International Customer Service and Production Planning with regards to port of discharge.
  • Coordinate with Inventory Analyst for repacks, pallet configuration, and value-added service (VAS) activities as per customer needs.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reporting for operational and leadership reviews (Stock availability and stock at risk).
  • Develop, enhance, and automate reports and dashboards using Excel and BI tools (Power BI preferred).
  • Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, data quality, system usage, and automation.
  • Define and document planning SOPs and support planning capability development.
You will need
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field.
  • APICS / ASCM (CPIM, CSCP) or similar certification a plus.
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or inventory planning.
  • Experience in CPG, FMCG, food & beverage, retail, or manufacturing environments strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of inventory planning fundamentals: MRP, safety stock, service levels, lead times, FEFO, shelf-life management.
  • Familiarity with S&OP / IBP processes and planning governance.
Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on ERP experience (SAP strongly preferred).
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
  • High attention to detail and accountability for data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, continuous-improvement mindset with a bias for action.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with global teams.
  • English fluency required (written/verbal).
