Freyrecruitment seeks a Deck/Mate for a 42m sailing yacht joining in Vilanova (oct/nov) before heading to the Med and Caribbean. The role requires proven big-boat sailing experience and a strong sea-going background. Owners maintain a positive, family vibe and care about the crew.

Expect moderate usage by the owner couple and a budget for maintenance. Ideally the candidate holds a Yacht Master certificate; gender is open. Immediate joining in Vilanova is anticipated.

Job description

A beautiful 42m SY is looking for a Deck./Mate to join them in the Med prior to crossing to the Caribbean.

This is a lovely, modern classic SY with a private, dual season program and runs with 5 crew.

This is a well looked after boat with a good budget for maintenance.

Candidates will have prior big boat sailing experience and come from a strong sailing background. The boat has a good family "vibe". The crew are positive and enjoy their jobs and get taken care of.

There are basically no toys on deck (paddle boards) solely focused on sailing - the owners are passionate sailors.

Moderate owner usage, generally it's only the owner couple, from time to time they might bring friends with them, but not often.

Qualifications required: Ideally a Yacht Master
