Job summary

Wilsonhalligan is seeking a Mate/Engineer with sailing experience to join a busy 30m sailing yacht built in 2025. You will work in a four-person team, supporting deck operations and daily engineering tasks with a practical, hands-on approach.

The vessel operates across the Mediterranean, Central America and the Caribbean, currently heading to mainland Spain for an 8-12 week shipyard to address warranty items, with plans for winter 2026/27 itineraries.

Job description

We are seeking a Mate / Engineer with sailing experience and an AEC qualification to join a busy, commercially operated 30m sailing yacht, built in 2025.

Working within a team of four, the successful candidate will support deck operations and oversee day-to-day engineering duties. A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to work well in a small team are essential.

The yacht usually operates a dual-season itinerary across the Mediterranean, Central America and the Caribbean. It is currently heading to mainland Spain for an 8-12-week shipyard period to address warranty items, with a different itinerary planned for winter 2026/27.

Package:

• €5,000-5,500 per month
• 42 days' annual leave, with a potential increase subject to confirmation
