Supermicro is expanding its service team for the Netherlands. As a Datacenter Solution Engineer you will perform racking, installation of server hardware, and cabling, while providing on-site technical support and handling service tickets.

You report to the Solutions manager and collaborate with the service desk to support customers. You’ll travel locally and internationally as needed, participate in hardware break fixes, and support installation projects in data centers.

Formación

• 5 years of experience servicing complex X86 systems in a datacenter.
• Bachelor’s degree or Dutch MBO4 in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.
• Strong written and verbal English; Dutch would be a plus.
• Good understanding of Windows & Linux environments.
• Scripting knowledge (Bash, PHP, Python) is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Enterprise grade server hardware.
• Willingness to travel internationally and locally; 40 km radius of s‑Hertogenbosch.

Responsabilidades

• Perform physical installation, rack and stack, cabling and networking of data center hardware.
• Assist/support in the implementation of server, storage and network equipment.
• Coordinate with the engineering team to ensure seamless integration of hardware solutions.
• Work with the engineering team to ensure hardware is installed correctly according to specifications.
• Perform quality checks and test functionality after installation.
• Provide first‑line technical support to end users via telephone, email and ticketing system.
• Refer complex issues to higher level support teams when necessary.
• Be willing to travel (internationally and locally) to carry out installations at customers or solve problems in data centers, which includes occasional extended hours and weekend work.
