Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for Data360 to implement real‑time data solutions directly inside customer environments. You will configure, test, and deploy Data360 components, focusing on ingestion, identity, and analytics across enterprise data sources.

You will work with architects and customer teams to ensure secure, scalable implementations, including MCP protocols and AI/data integration patterns, while supporting production handoff and ongoing stabilization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software/data engineering or technical implementation with a production data solution.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience implementing Salesforce Data360 (Data Cloud) or a comparable enterprise data platform.
• Hands-on experience building data pipelines and integrations using enterprise data platforms or technologies.
• Proficiency in SQL with ability to build, debug, and optimize multi-table queries.
• Fluency in at least one enterprise delivery language (Apex, Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript).

Responsibilities

• Build in customer environments, configuring and developing directly in sandboxes and production using Data360 tools and APIs.
• Engineer the data layer across ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution.
• Materialize data views optimized for application and analytics workloads with latency and cost considerations.
• Collaborate with customer data and AI teams to align with data mesh/fabric strategies.
• Create representative test data and validate outcomes across edge cases and large volumes.
