Job summary

Ramboll is seeking an Associate/Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead the mechanical design delivery for Europe’s premier data centre projects in a collaborative team setting. You will drive high-quality delivery, coordinate with electrical counterparts, and guide a team of engineers while maintaining excellent client service.

Based in Barcelona, you will develop robust mechanical systems for cooling, ventilation, automation and supporting subsystems, while leveraging building physics, CFD, and

Qualifications

• Qualified Engineer with proven track record in their discipline.
• Experience with mission critical systems in data centres or similar industries.
• Accredited honours degree or HNC in applicable discipline, with commitment to continue education.
• IEng or CEng status would be advantageous and pursued.
• Excellent communicator with ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Interest in digital and parametric design tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead Ramboll on data centre projects, guiding own discipline and coordinating engineers.
• Drive project delivery with minimal supervision on technical aspects.
• Use CAD, Bluebeam, and related tools for design production.
• Complete detailed designs and supervise others.
• Inspire client confidence and strengthen relationships.
• Manage project delivery timelines and allocate resources.
• Coordinate tasks as mechanical lead to meet deadlines.
