Lingo Network is looking for an experienced Senior Data Center / Infrastructure Expert in Málaga, Spain. This full-time role involves managing large-scale deployment activities, focusing on big data storage for analytics.

The ideal candidate will have experience in infrastructure architecture, hold a BS or MS in Computer Science/Engineering, and be fluent in English. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required. An opportunity for conversion to a permanent position exists after the initial contract.

Senior Data Center / Infrastructure Expert

Position: Senior Data Center / Infrastructure Expert

Status: Contract (6‑12 months) with possibility of becoming permanent.

Location: Spain

Background: A short‑mid term position on a strategic project with a multinational telecommunication company has opened, we are looking for an experienced Platform/Infrastructure expert with proven track record to help manage large scale deployment activity. Applicants with a VISA that allows work in Spain will be prioritized.

Duties

• Scope, design, define and plan Infrastructure Architecture for system deployments and/or upgrades as well as their integration into the complex carrier grade systems.
• Provide deployment high/low level solutions, plan and provide related high quality documentation.
• Communicate at an executive level with Tier1 customer and partner senior management. Interpersonal awareness and communication skills are required.
• Analyze customer technology, define business requirements and participate in risk analysis.
• Develop technical presentations and proposals, and perform customer presentations, trainings and workshops.
• Ensure that deployment infrastructure matches reference architecture and ensures that test systems are representative of production.
• Assist in hardware sizing and recommendation, capacity planning, diagnostics analysis, and server placement.
• Provide guidance on the software dependencies related to the hardware, connectivity, network infrastructure, etc.

Required Experience

• High level interface both with project, operation, and business stakeholder.
• Experienced in requirement analysis and excellent hand‑on knowledge in solution design process and tools.
• Very good knowledge of IT hardware including server, storage and network equipment.
• Participation in activities as Technology Consultant, and in presales activities.
• Conducting workshops, seminars and training.
• Readiness to travel up to 25% annually.
• Overall and deep knowledge of cloud computing related technologies such as virtualization stacks (VMWare, NFV, etc.) and virtualization technologies (Linux KVM, etc.).
• Experience in providing solutions and deploying enterprise size systems in Data Center environments.

Academic Background

• BS or MS Computer Science/Engineering.
