Job summary

AWS is seeking a Construction Project Manager for its Zaragoza, Spain data centre site. You will oversee multi-disciplinary construction activities, manage the project scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinate with general contractors and vendors to deliver high-quality turnovers.

The role requires strong contract management, vendor interface, and leadership to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of data centre infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Construction project management and oversight of activities related to new builds or capital projects at a data centre site, owning scope, timeline and budget.
• Direct interface with general contractors during bidding, award, execution and closeout phases.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors to ensure efficient and high-quality turnovers.
• Lead negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids with detail and accuracy.
• Create construction project scope and RFPs; manage capital requests and financial analysis of work.
• Oversee commissioning plan and support commissioning process; ensure quality control.
• Record and report key construction metrics to team members and management.
• Be a leader within the group and with external teams supporting the data centre.
