Job summary

ESYEN, an engineering company serving the Space Industry, seeks Junior and Senior Cyber Security professionals to join the ETS team. You will work on an highly critical Ground Segment infrastructure, focusing on monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and secure configurations, with international collaboration and potential on-site work in Torrejón.

Qualifications

• Degree/Master's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, Engineering or related STEM, or equivalent cybersecurity certifications.
• Professional experience in Cybersecurity, IT Security, Security Operations or System Administration.
• Senior profile requires solid cybersecurity experience; Junior may have limited background.
• Knowledge of security monitoring technologies, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS and SIEM platforms.
• Experience or knowledge of incident investigation and response, including log analysis.
• Knowledge of vulnerability assessment, risk evaluation, prioritisation and remediation.
• Practical knowledge of user access and permissions management.
• Knowledge of security tokens, cryptographic keys and digital certificates.
• Familiarity with hardware and software security configuration, hardening and lockdown activities.
• Knowledge of security tools, patching and antivirus management.
• Basic knowledge of backup and restore activities, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Understanding of threat intelligence, emerging threats and common attack vectors.
• Ability to handle classified and sensitive information with security procedures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
• Fluent English; Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in GNSS, aerospace or other critical infrastructures is a strong plus.
• Cybersecurity certifications such as GSEC, GIAC, CISSP or CCSP are advantageous.
• Eligibility for security clearance.
• On-site in Torrejón; partial remote working may be agreed with the Customer.
• Willingness to provide on-call support outside regular hours.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security events, logs and alerts from Firewalls, IDS/IPS and SIEM platforms.
• Investigate security incidents and suspicious activities, supporting incident response and remediation.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, evaluate risks and support patching and remediation.
• Manage user access and permissions, including token management and least-privilege practice.
• Manage security keys and digital certificates, including renewal and revocation.
• Support administration and maintenance of security devices such as HSMs and gateways.
• Apply secure configurations and hardening procedures to hardware and software.
• Manage patches, antivirus and other security tools; ensure proper configuration.
• Monitor emerging cyber threats and contribute to threat intelligence activities.
• Support access control reviews and cybersecurity compliance activities.
• Perform backup/restore activities and assist business continuity planning.
• Handle classified/sensitive information following security procedures.
• Apply encryption and data protection to safeguard information.
• Support audits, penetration tests and compliance checks with evidence.
• Contribute to cybersecurity documentation, reports and KPIs.
• Develop and maintain security procedures and collaborate with IT teams.
• Participate in Galileo dual-site operations and backup-site support as needed.
• Provide on-site support and on-call coverage when activated.
