Sulzer is seeking a Credit Manager to join our Group Treasury team in Madrid. You will play a key part in strengthening Sulzer's global credit risk framework while supporting strategic treasury initiatives across the organization.

The role offers the chance to lead cross-functional projects, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and develop credit risk management processes and SAP-related templates in a multinational environment.

Formación

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar international treasury/credit risk role.
• Strong experience in credit risk management and third-party risk assessment.
• Proven success in leading cross-functional international projects.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support the HUB credit risk management team and standardize processes.
• Manage global credit risk activities and relationships with external rating agencies.
• Lead design of credit risk management technologies across ERP platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and business to implement SAP credit risk templates.
• Evaluate high-value credit limit requests and advise CFOs.
• Provide training on credit risk assessment and banking policies.
• Support global factoring processes and manage the bank account structure.
• Coordinate access management for centrally controlled bank accounts.

About the role

We are looking for a Credit Manager to join our Group Treasury team in Madrid. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and strengthening Sulzer's global credit risk framework while supporting strategic treasury initiatives across the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in an international environment, leading cross-functional projects, and influencing decision-making at a global level. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure effective credit risk management, support factoring activities, and contribute to treasury transformation initiatives.

What you will do

• Support the establishment and development of the HUB credit risk management team.
• Drive the creation of standardized and harmonized credit risk management processes across the organization.
• Manage global service contracts related to credit risk management, including relationships with external credit rating agencies and tender processes.
• Lead the assessment and design of credit risk management technologies supporting multiple ERP platforms.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and implement standard SAP credit risk management templates.
• Evaluate high-value credit limit requests and provide recommendations to Division CFOs and the Group CFO.
• Deliver training and guidance to internal stakeholders on credit risk assessment and banking policies.
• Support and further develop the company's global factoring processes.
• Manage the global bank account structure and maintain operational banking relationships.
• Coordinate access management for centrally controlled bank accounts.
• Participate in treasury projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

What you need to succeed

Required:

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role within an international organization, ideally in a regional or group treasury environment.
• Strong experience in credit risk management and third-party risk assessment.
• Proven success in managing complex cross-functional and international projects.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.

Preferred:

• Experience with integrated ERP systems.
• Exposure to SAP credit risk management solutions.
• Experience in global treasury or shared services environments.
