Turner & Townsend is expanding its Madrid office and seeks a senior Project Director (Cost Management) to lead cost management professionals on major data centre projects. You will manage teams, engage clients, and deliver cost control across multiple phases of complex programmes.

Spanish-speaking preferences noted; strong English and extensive cost management experience are essential for shaping strategy, reports, and value engineering initiatives in a fast-paced global practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• 10+ years experience in cost management across multiple project types.
• Experience in value management, value engineering and life cycle costing.
• Experience with cost planning, estimating and reporting.
• Ability to advise clients on cost management strategies.
• Understanding of labour, plant and material costs and cashflow.

Responsabilités

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams including clients, consultants, contractors and suppliers.
• Act as the key day-to-day client interface to deliver value-added cost management services.
• Facilitate effective communication across stakeholders through meetings, reporting and documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.
• Take line management responsibilities and develop cost managers through guidance and reviews.
• Ensure integrity and ethical standards across project delivery.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture and continuous learning.
• Motivate team members and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Manage team resources against the pipeline and project demand.
• Conduct interviews for vacancies in line with recruitment processes.
• Analyze project requirements and develop creative cost solutions.
• Lead cost benchmarks and KPIs for project execution strategy.
• Establish robust cost reporting structures and control mechanisms.
